Healed & Set Free - How God Can Use You

If you ever wonder how God can use you to make a difference, just look at those He used in the Bible and take heart. God used, and uses, people to make a difference. People! Not super humans or geniuses. God has a plan and a purpose for every believer. You have been set aside for a very special ministry if you’re getting ready to lead a Healed & Set Free Bible study. You will see many blessings shared as God’s truth unfolds in the hearts of those in your group.

I may or may not know you personally, but I do know that if you are stepping out in faith and have a God-given desire to see others set free from chains of emotional scars, then you too have likely been hurt deeply in some way. You know all about the shackles of the painful hurts. You also know how incredible it feels to be set free from those shackles.

It’s exciting to open your arms to others so they can experience that same peace and freedom. As you reach out with God’s love, you are making yourself available and opening your arms to others that are hurt, angry, and scared. Some may not be sure they will be accepted or loved by you, and some not so sure they can trust anyone with their deep, dark hurt that has chipped away at their peace.

If there is one clear lesson I can leave with you, if you remember anything from this letter, remember this: you will be walking on Satan’s turf. When your hearts desire is to help the hurting be healed.

Many of those that you will meet have been taken in captive with painful, heavy shackles that have been weighing them down for 10 years, 20 years, and some 50 years. You are not going to a tea party where you can wear your high heels and a pretty, white dress. You are going to war for those in your group. Get on your battle boots and the full armor of God. It’s time to Battle in the Spirit. God is bigger than all of our hurts and fears.

Pray! – The Holy Spirit will loosen the stronghold and reveal God’s Truth and His love to the broken hearted.

Pray! – For those who’s hearts are defiled with sin from their past - to SEE the sin of bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, and repent of the sin to become Healed and Set Free.

Pray! – For those in shackles to have an extra measure of faith to follow and obey God’s Word, and to desire to become Healed and Set free.

He who is in you (Christ) is greater than he who is in the world (Satan.) 1 John 4:4

Prayer will unleash the power of God in the lives of the members of your group and will remind you that you are not responsible to set anyone free in your own strength. Jesus is the only one who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).

“It’s not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6

In closing, my prayers and heart are with you as you open your arms of God’s love and truth to hurting people
